O COME, ALL YE CHILDREN, O COME ONE AND ALL!

All children are invited to participate in the Christmas Eve Family Service on December 24th at 7:00 pm. Children are needed as singers, speakers, readers, angels, sheep, and shepherds. Some roles require more rehearsal than others, but there is a part for everyone! Final rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays, December 12 and 19 from 5 – 7:30 pm and Sunday December 16 from 11:30 – 1:00 pm. This is a great opportunity for children to help lead in worship, as well as learn more about the birth of Christ. Sign up on the atrium bulletin board, bulletin insert, or contact Susie Faas if your child is interested participating.

'TWEEN TALK

Are you ready for the "SOUPER" BOWL? Heritage Tweens are!

Sunday, February 3rd is the NFL Football Super Bowl - - and Heritage will have our own S-O-U-P-E-R Bowl of Caring. We need your help!

The Souper Bowl of Caring is a grassroots, faith-based crusade against hunger. We are joining other churches, schools, and organizations across the country by collecting cans of soup. Last year, this movement raised over $10 million to fight hunger and poverty across the country. Our collection from Heritage will again go to the Mason Food Pantry. Over the last several years HPC has been able to supply the Food Pantry with enough soup to stock their shelves for at least 6 months.

Heritage 'Tweens will be in the Atrium before and after worship on FEBRUARY 3rd to collect your soup donations. High protein and chunky style soups are preferred. Please help our 'Tweens and help others, by bringing in cans of soup.

The Tweens will also be preparing homemade chili that you will be able to enjoy for a $5.00 donation to the Mason Food Pantry. Place your order early so you will not miss out on this tasty way to raise mission funds.

The church grapevine has heard that competition is in the air again this year. Pastor Kevin has humbly offered a prize if we exceed our donations of last year.

Donate generously to be part of the solution to hunger in our local community.

CHILDREN IN WORSHIP WORKSHOP
Sunday, January 9th 9:00 – 10:00 am
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14.
At Heritage, we understand the importance of including children in worship, and we also recognize the need to teach our children, the components of worship. Children in Worship Workshop is designed to help young worshippers learn how and why we worship God. Sunday, January 9 th , Susie Faas will have a workshop for children in Grades 1 – 3 and their parents. Please come and learn how to feel “at home” in worship services. We will be take an “Eye-Spy” tour of our Sanctuary and learn what to do when we sit in the pew.
