Music Ministry


	Music Ministry Opportunities Heritage Presbyterian Church 2007-2008 Heritage Choir Heritage Choir is the heart of the Music Ministry program at HPC. Membership is open to any adult or high school student who enjoys singing. They rehearse each Wednesday evening beginning September 5, 2007 through May from 7:30 till 9:00 PM to sing for one service each week. Singers also have the opportunity to rehearse during the Sunday school hour if they cannot attend the regular Wednesday evening practice. Director – Karen Mail Celebration Choir Celebration Choir, for youth in grades 7 through 12, also rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 until 7:15, beginning September 12, 2007. They sing periodically for our Sunday morning worship hour and participate in special services and area Chorister’s Guild events. Director – Karen Mail Children’s Choirs Our Children’s Choirs rehearse Wednesdays from 6:15 till 7:15 PM as part of our Kids of the Kingdom program. In addition to participating in Sunday morning worship, they present a yearly musical during Advent. Carol Choir is for children in 3rd through 6th grades, and Cherub Choir is for Kindergarteners through 2nd graders. Pre-schoolers enjoy singing on Sunday mornings as part of their of Sunday school experience. Co-ordinator – Susie Faas Handbell Choirs Hallelujah Ringers, our advanced handbell choir, rehearses Thursday evenings from 7 till 8 PM beginning September 13. The ability to read music or previous ringing experience is needed for participation in this group. The Miracle Ringers, for youth grades 7 thru 12, rehearses Sunday evenings during the school year from 5:30 till 6:15 PM. School age children are encouraged to ring with the Chime Masters as part of the Wednesday evening Kids of the Kingdom program. Director – Bonnie Reeves Instrumental Opportunities Instrumentalists are invited to participate in the Good News Ensemble. They rehearse periodically to participate on Sunday mornings, and for special services and events. All of our choirs frequently use instruments to accompany anthems, etc. We also love to hear instrumental solos.
