Vision Statement "I have a passion and a vision for calling believers
to faith as the center of life. I want the church to open its doors
to welcome in the world with the hospitality of Jesus and to go out
into the world with the healing presence of Christ."
"Hospitality
is at the heart of the Gospel. It is Jesus going to prepare a place
for us and coming back to take us home. It is Jesus inviting fishermen
and tax collectors to follow, Jesus seeking and saving the lost. The
gospel is the hospitality of the feast of the bridegroom where everyone
is invited and the water is turned into wine. It is the father rushing
down the street to welcome home his lost son and then throwing a feast
for the whole town to celebrate. The Gospel is "God welcomes us home!"
"I seek to serve a congregation that wants to be partners in
developing a vision of hospitality to the world and care for each
other. When we hear the gospel and know that through Jesus, God has
welcomed us home as the children of God, our response is to celebrate
and live joyfully in God's household. The Christian life is welcoming
others home too. That welcome includes sharing the good news of their
place at the table and making sure that they have a table at which
to eat in this age.
