  The Mission of HPC is to be a caring community where God’s love through Jesus Christ is Caught, Taught, Felt and Shared with all people everywhere.

A key component of Christianity at HPC is to extend God’s love beyond our members and our church to those in need. In the spirit of God’s Word, we do our best to care for the hungry, the homeless and the victims of poverty and disasters wherever they may be. This support includes our time, our talents and our finances. We encourage everyone to become involved in this effort in an activity that fits your interests and talents. There is no lack of opportunities for your contributions and growth as a Christian.

Adult Mission Opportunities

HPC members are involved in many mission activities requiring adult hands-on volunteering, such as trips to support disaster relief, work at soup kitchens and activities with at risk teens. We also provide supplies and financial support to several local agencies supporting the homeless and those with temporary financial hardship. In addition, there are several activities in which members participate to raise funds to support the HPC youth mission trips.

Intergenerational Mission Opportunities

HPC is a family-oriented church, and as such, we take pride in multi-generational mission activities, with age level appropriate children and youth working side by side with the adults. Quite often, this involves entire family groups working together. In addition to strengthening family units, it allows for both youth and adults to learn from each other, and appreciate their talents.

​Children & Youth Mission Opportunities

 At HPC, we believe it is important for youth (junior and senior high) and children of all ages to learn about mission work, and to have experiences to serve God’s people.  Throughout the year, we provide opportunities for the youngest children through high school youth to serve our neighbors in a variety of ways. Along with participating in specific tasks, we ensure there is an educational component in our mission activities. The youth and children learn about specific mission organizations, why we serve, and how to serve.
